A Conversation with Climate Leaders: Where do we go next?

Join us for a conversation with climate leaders Anjali Appadurai, Campaigns Director at Climate Emergency Unit, Avi Lewis, Associate Professor at UBC, and local organizers, Juan Vargas from Climate Justice Edmonton, to take stock of the latest IPCC report and the political moment we are in. Then, we will discuss how we can take action together to win climate solutions that truly meet the urgency of the compounding crises we face.

350 Canada and the Council of Canadians will be in conversation with Anjali Appadurai, who will walk us through an overview of the sobering message from climate scientists in the latest IPCC report. Avi Lewis will dive into the political moment we're in, nationally and globally, and what it means fo the climate justice movement. We will then discuss join Juan from Climate Justice Edmonton, to understand how local climate justice organizers are taking action to win critical Just Transition legislation that transitions us off fossil fuels fast.
