No more subsidies for fossil fuels!

Did you know that between 2016 and 2018 alone, oil and gas companies in Vaca Muerta received more than 3.7 billion USD in government subsidies? Not only are US and European corporations destroying the natural habitats in Vaca Muerta, they are profiting from the backs of hardworking Argentinians.

US and European oil and gas corporations are continuing the colonial legacy that has no respect for life and the people living in the global south- Argentinians living near oil and gas fracking wells have no access to clean water or gas.

This is unacceptable. We need to stand in solidarity with Argentinians in their call for financing the energy transition and ease all fracking projects in Vaca Muerta. Read More

Join Argentinians call to end all fossil fuel subsidies.

Instead of continuing to subsidise Vaca Muerta, the money could be used to finance the energy transition, and the benefits would not only be socio-environmental, but also economic: it is 21% cheaper and would also create 120,000 more jobs by 2050.
