Tell the QLD Government to reject Abbot Point

The announcement to dump dredge spoil for Abbot Point at Terminal 2 removes a major roadblock for Adani's plan to open up 9 mega coal mines in the Galilee Basin and fuel dangerous climate change - one of the greatest challenges facing the Reef. There's only one way for Galilee coal to be exported -- and that's right through the Reef. This "sustainable" new plan neither protects the Reef nor our climate. I urge you to say no to Adani and reject Abbot Point - for the sake of the Reef and our climate.

Have you heard? According to the newly elected QLD Government they can open up the Galilee Basin Mega Mines and expand the Abbot Point coal port in a way that is "environmentally sustainable."

If you agree that this is nonsense, send a message to QLD Premier Annastacia Paluszczuk to tell her to reject Abbot Point and the Galilee Basin mines!

In only a matter of weeks since the election, the ALP have worked hard with Adani to come up with this new dredging proposal and remove a major road block for the construction of Abbot Point.

It brings them one step closer to opening up nine mega coal mines in the Galilee Basin, turning the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park into a coal shipping highway and unleashing even greater climate impacts on our precious Reef.

If that doesn't sound sustainable to you, then send a message to Premier Paluszczuk to let her know that Australians don't want Abbot Point, not now and not ever.
