The United Nations just confirmed the world is on track to breach 1.5°C of global heating.

Despair is exactly what coal, oil and gas companies are counting on: all of us feeling too defeated to mobilize and push back. Let’s make sure we’re not giving them that.

Every fraction of a degree we hold back is still worth fighting for, and the faster we can bring down carbon emissions to a safe level, the better.

The Pledge:

  • I pledge to keep joining in actions that push decision makers to phase out fossil fuels and ramp up renewables.
  • I will do whatever I can to help ensure our governments show up to global meetings like the UN Climate Talks and UN General Assembly with ambitious commitments on climate.
  • I will not give in to despair, and I will bring others on board to take action with me.

Where we're putting our energy (and will need yours)...

Here's where we're putting our energy and where we will need your voice in the next few months:

  1. Holding the fossil fuel industry accountable. We'll expose how much they are profiting from the skyrocketing energy prices and push our governments to make them pay at key political moments coming up, including the COP31 UN Climate talks.
  2. Fighting for affordable, accessible clean energy. We’re launching national and local campaigns on this goal that put power and economic benefits in the hands of people and communities. We’re pushing for concrete government decisions that can make this happen.
  3. Standing with frontline communities. We’ll provide support for those most impacted and amplify their voices to turn these moments of crisis into demands for systemic change. And we'll fight to get these communities a real seat at the table when decisions are being made on recovery and the energy revolution we need.
