As people in the U.S. weather yet another summer of climate disasters, the U.S. government continues to fund the fossil fuel industry behind our backs through the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) — an agency that funds projects overseas, including fossil fuel projects.
EXIM approved $901 million for fossil fuel projects in 2023. But EXIM also has the power to do good — by redirecting funding to renewable energy projects. But, they’ll only do it if the U.S. commits to a bold climate action plan and bans fossil fuel financing at EXIM.
Add your name to our call for a ban on fossil fuel financing today.
