Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE), central Maryland’s largest gas and electric utility, is proposing a $602 million rate hike over the next three years. They will spend billions on new fossil gas infrastructure, flouting the state’s climate goals.
But we have a chance to stop it. Maryland’s Public Service Commission (PSC), which has the power to reject rate increases, is accepting public comments on BGE’s rate hike proposal until September 29th. Tell the PSC: Reject BGE’s Rate Hike!
To: Frederick Hoover, Chair, Public Service Commission of Maryland
I urge you to reject BGE’s proposed $602 million multi-year rate hike (Case No. 9692), which will lead to enormous rate hikes and lock us into more fossil fuels, flouting our state’s ambitious climate goals.
