Tell your senators: It’s time to confirm the Federal Reserve nominees

Confirming Sarah Bloom Raskin, Lisa Cook, Philip Jefferson, and Lael Brainard is one of the best things we can do to make sure the Federal Reserve takes the climate crisis seriously.

Now more than ever, we need to make sure the Senate hears our demands to confirm our Federal Reserve slate.

I urge you to support Sarah Bloom Raskin, Lisa Cook, Philip Jefferson, and Lael Brainard’s nominations to serve on the Federal Reserve Board.

Sarah Bloom Raskin is a proven public servant and financial regulator who we can trust to watch out for risks to the financial system, including cyberattacks and climate change.

Lisa Cook advised President Obama after the ‘08 financial crash and Philip Jefferson is an  economist with research expertise in poverty. They will bring much-needed diversity to the Board so that it better reflects our country.

Lael Brainard is an experienced leader who will work to ensure that the financial sector is prepared for climate shocks and a just transition and make sure that the climate crisis is top of mind for the Federal Reserve.

The Federal Reserve Board will benefit from these nominees’ many decades of experience, including time at the Federal Reserve in various roles, as distinguished professors, and as economic researchers.

I know that our financial system will be better off with these nominees on the Federal Reserve Board. Please support all 4 of their nominations and help them get confirmed by the full Senate as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.
