The U.S. House just passed HR 9495, a bill that would give the incoming Trump administration the unprecedented power to silence organizations it doesn’t like by revoking their nonprofit status and shutting them down.

HR 9495 would be an absolute disaster for our progressive movement as a whole, plus it would have a chilling effect on our ability to fight for climate justice and oppose hazardous fossil fuel projects. Our next chance to stop this dangerous bill is in the Senate.
