Can I add my action to the map?

Summer Heat has three major aims:
1. to support actions that challenge the expansion of the fossil fuel industry -- both on the ground and in the public debate
2. to showcase the diversity of groups standing up to the fossil fuel industry and build solidarity amongst our movement.
3. to build stronger and bolder actions. If an action you’re planning fits these aims, we are keen to work with you. You can get started by registering an event below and then we’ll be in touch with further resources.

Can we plan an action together?

If you need support to run an action or event that takes on the fossil fuel industry in your community, then the Summer Heat team is here to help. When can we host an action?

Whenever you want - during December, January or February. Events can even happen outside these periods if they fit the overall campaign, drop us a line if you would like to discuss this option: summerheat@350.org.au

What kind of actions can we run?

It’s time to step up our challenge to the fossil fuel industry, so we encourage you to be ambitious this summer and use stronger and bolder tactics. Depending on your community this could mean a public rally, creative banner drops, front line action against an expansion project, a local media blitz or just about anything else you can dream up.

Remember350.org Australia and all the groups we collaborate with embrace the principles of peaceful direct action. If you want to discuss tactics further - register the details of your event below and we’ll get in touch before it goes live to make sure you have the support you need.

Will I have help with my action?

The Summer Heat team is here to help! Depending on where your action is and how large it will be -- our team of volunteers can provide logistics support, fundraising guidance, a promo boost and on a case-by-case basis consider financial and legal help.
