As governments and industries negotiate goals to smudge less the planet, outside the conference are the voices of the biggest impacted by climate change: indigenous peoples
Because of their culture rooted in the forests, they are the first to feel the impacts of global warming and so they work to preserve the forests and thus maintain the future of all of us.
350.org believes that in order to contain climate change, negotiations must start from the demands of the impacted people and not from polluters' growth targets. Therefore we consulted hundreds of indigenous villages and various leaders to build the Indigenous Climate Letter, a document that will be handed over to the authorities during COP25.
