In just 70 days, presidents and prime ministers from around the world will gather in New York City for a landmark summit on climate change. Communities across the country are mobilizing to make sure their voices are heard by converging in the streets of New York City on Sept. 21st at the largest climate march ever.
But to make this the biggest climate march in history, the momentum can't be confined to New York -- which is why we're organizing a tour up and down the East Coast to spread that energy, and we're coming to Philadelphia on July 26 and 27. It's okay if you can't make both days - come Sunday if you can only make one.

Here are the details:
What: An inspiring organizing meeting to get ready for the People's Climate March.
When: July 26, 10-5, July 27, 1:30-5:30 (come Sunday if you can only make one day)
Where: Taberancle United Church of Christ, 3700 Chestnut St, Philadelphia
Why: To meet local activists near you and create an organizing process that engages Philadelphia in the People’s Climate March and creates meaningful new coalitions and connections.
The meeting will not only teach you the basics of organizing, but also deepen our local networks and make the connection between the People's Climate March and local campaigns - making them both stronger than ever. We will talk about the march itself but also about lots of other things: organizing and recruitment, ways to create art to make the day transformative, and about how to be a bus captain and bring dozens of people from your community to New York City.
The summit this September is one of our best chances to demand global action on the climate crisis - and the first step towards making Philadelphia part of that is coming to the community organizing meeting on July 26 and 27.
