On February 17th, people from around the country will converge on Washington, DC to demand that President Obama take strong action on climate change and stop the Keystone XL pipeline. Here in Colorado, we're also hosting a #ForwardonClimate march and rally in Denver. Join us!
WHEN: Sunday, February 17th, 11:30 AM
WHERE: Start at the Auraria Campus, Tivoli Commons, 900 Auraria Parkway, Denver; end at Civic Center Park, 101 W 14th Ave, Denver.
If you'd like to arrange car-pooling or group bike rides to the event, fill out this form and our organizers will get back to you.
We'll kick it off with a student-led "Go Fossil Free" rally, then march as a human pipeline to Civic Center Park. There we'll converge with other groups for a mass "human oil spill" and rally. Please wear all black to participate in the human pipeline and oil spill!
We're fighting this battle on a lot of fronts: calling for fossil fuel divestment on college campuses, demanding a clean energy future, and standing up to oppose extreme energy projects like the Keystone XL pipeline.
#ForwardonClimate Denver is sponsored by Fossil Free campus campaigns, 350 Colorado, Sierra Club Beyond Coal Campaign, Greenpeace, Environment Colorado, Protect Our Colorado, and other allies.
