President Obama's job is to decide whether Keystone XL is in the US national interest. TransCanada has made the case that it's not: in filings to the State Department and contracts with refiners, they've spelled out their plans to pad their profit margins with exports, leaving us all the risks.
They want this oil exported because they can charge more on the international market, putting more money in the pockets of big oil and accelerating tar sands development in Canada. That's the definition of reckless.
