Saturday, September 21, 9:30 AM River Creek Parkway and Route 7 BridgeVirginia state officials continue their push to build a new major highway through Loudoun County in Northern Virginia. This highway, the Outer Beltway, will subject Loudoun to unsustainable development, increased traffic congestion, and poorer air quality, and will increase greenhouse gas emissions. On the morning of September 21st, 350 Loudoun will join concerned citizens across the county and surrounding areas to Draw the Line at the Outer Beltway. It's time to halt climate change in its tracks, keep fossil fuels in the ground, and invest in a clean energy infrastructure. Help create a stunning visual message on a piece of land along the highway's proposed route. We will lock arms and unfurl a large banner for all to see, letting the Governor, the Secretary of Transportation, the General Assembly, the Virginia Department of Transportation, and the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors know where we citizens Draw the Line! See you there.Leesburg, VA 20175You'll be able to see the location and contact the event host after you RSVP.
