Fires have ravaged California, leaving families and whole communities devastated in their wake. Yet, Gavin Newsom's new climate Executive Order lacks any concrete plan to phase out oil and gas drilling across the state right now.

1. Stop all new fossil fuel projects by issuing no new drilling permits
2. Phase out existing drilling with a just and equitable transition plan for workers and the communities most impacted
3. Create a 2500-foot health and safety buffer zone between fossil-fuel infrastructure and homes, schools, and other sensitive areas
