Tell Obama: Thanks for stepping up -- now do the right thing.

President Obama just announced that he is taking complete ownership of the decision about the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, and that he'll be looking seriously at the environmental and health impacts of the project.

Here's what the President said yesterday:

The State Department is in charge of analyzing this, because there’s a pipeline coming in from Canada. They’ll be giving me a report over the next several months, and, you know, my general attitude is, what is best for the American people? What’s best for our economy both short term and long term? But also, what’s best for the health of the American people?

Urge the President to do the right thing and reject the pipeline by filling out the petition on the right.

Tell President Obama:

Thank you for stepping up and taking ownership of the decision around the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. This dangerous project is not in our national interest, and I urge you to protect the American people and the planet by rejecting the Keystone XL pipeline.

Signed,
