Stop Adani sucking water from drought-stricken Queensland

Call on Josh Frydenberg to require a full environmental assessment of Adani's water scheme.

This Thursday, Federal Environment Minister Josh Frydenberg will make a crucial decision on the future of the Adani coal mine.

Adani wants to suck 12.5 billion litres of water EVERY YEAR from the Suttor River for its Carmichael coal mine without requiring an environmental assessment of its plan.

Drought-stricken Queensland can’t afford to pour its precious water into a coal mine which will divert water from farmers, worsen the impacts of climate change, risk aquifers and threaten wetlands.

Frydenberg is due to make a decision on whether Adani's water scheme requires a full environmental assessment by this Thursday 5 July.

Will you email the Minister for Environment and Energy today and ask him to conduct a full and proper assessment of Adani's water scheme?
