We would like to invite the international community to support our Tree Planting Project on September 20 and September 30 in Mt.Banahaw Philippines.  Mt.Banahaw is an active volcano located in Quezon Province, Philippines. According to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs) , Mount Banahaw has erupted three times, the last was in 1843. Phivolcs lists Mount Banahaw as one of 23 active volcanoes in the country.

 

Who we are?  We are a group of young filipinos with age range of 15 to 30 yrs old.  We are selling T-shirts online to fund our Tree Planting Activies.    Our start-up is more than selling t-shirts, it includes our advocacy to restore our bionetwork. For every t-shirt that we sell, we plant a tree in Mt. Banahaw. The trees we plant today will make a difference in reinventing our world tomorrow. With our initiative to plant trees in Mt. Banahaw, we hope that we could avert volcanic eruption and flash floods.  Unlike any other tree planting activities, we have an online database to monitor who bought the T-Shirt and how many trees we planted. This database is transparent and accessible to the public.

While waiting for our trees to grow, we are also involve in Social Networking to address typhoons in the Philippines.  During the world’s strongest typhoon Haiyan, we participated in Search Operation.  We had online volunteers encoders and programmers that consolidated and published information about the victims and survivors of typhoon Haiyan.
