On Fire Day of Action

Canada On Fire - Hamilton

Thursday, July 29, 10:30 AM
Liberal MP Filomena Tassi's Constituency Office
1686 Main St W
Hamilton, Ontario, Ontario, L8S 0A2, Canada
On Thursday, July 29, as climate catastrophes continue to erupt across the country and around the world, Hamilton will be bringing the heat to Liberal MP Filomena Tassi to demand emergency-level climate action. Join us at Tassi's constituency office in the Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas riding to ask her to sign a pledge that calls for moratorium on fossil fuel expansion and just transition legislation. Together, we can show our elected officials that climate change will be a central issue to voters this year as record-breaking climate events ravage communities coast-to-coast. Bring face masks, friends, and signs as we demand our politicians muster up the courage to combat the climate crisis. ///////////// On July 27, Hamilton 350 and our allies will be hosting a fun sign and banner making session to prepare for this action. The art build will take place in Victoria Park this coming Tuesday morning! Drop in anytime between 9:30 and noon. You will find us under the trees on the south-east side of the park parallel to Locke St. close to the baseball diamond. We will use the picnic tables to make signs and other visuals to fire up Hamilton’s federal politicians. Materials will be provided, but please bring any you have to share, and a water bottle to help keep yourself cool. Children welcome!
