A group of us are going to meet at MP Jim Carr's office. We'll have signs based on some of 350.orgs stencil-sign suggestions, and also a sign that says: "The Just Transition Ministry" is open along with some celebratory balloons.
Anyone is welcome. Note that we'll be taking videos and photos to be shared on social media and shared with Jim Carr. Please talk to organizers if you don't want your image shared.
We'll:
- Have pamphlets with basic info, plus informing people of the MEJC action at the Human Rights Museum at noon.
- Do a little 'skit' with someone pretending to be the Minister for a Just Transition, asking the assembled citizens for suggestions on what they want from "The Ministry".
- Have letters for people to sign - and add their own thoughts to - for Jim Carr.
The following week, when Carr's office is open, we'll deliver the letters and some photos of the event.
The action may only last 1/2 hour.
