THE YOUTH OF THE WORLD CALL ON US TO ACT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE Since Greta Thunberg began her Friday strikes in front of the Swedish parliament calling for action against climate change, she has been joined by millions of young people around the world. They call on us to be the adults who rise to the challenge of climate change that threatens their future and ours. Starting on Friday September 20 there will be a week of worldwide strikes for the climate. On September 20 the adults of San Miguel de Allende will join youth with a rally in the Jardin to declare independence from fossil fuels. 209 years ago Mexico began its struggle for independence as a nation. Now we must join the people of the world as we struggle for independence from climate changing fossil fuels that threaten catastrophe for us all. LA JUVENTUD DEL MUNDO NOS LLAMA A ACTUAR CONTRA EL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO Desde que Greta Thunberg comenzó sus huelgas de los viernes frente al parlamento sueco pidiendo acciones contra el cambio climático, millones de jóvenes de todo el mundo se le han unido. Nos convocan a ser los adultos que enfrentemos al desafío del cambio climático que amenaza su futuro y el nuestro. A partir del viernes 20 de septiembre habrá una semana de huelgas mundiales por el clima. El 20 de septiembre nosotros los adultos que vivimos en San Miguel de Allende nos uniremos a los jóvenes con una manifestación en el Jardín para Declarar la independencia de los combustibles fósiles. Hace 209 años México comenzó su lucha por la Independencia. Ahora debemos unirnos a la gente del mundo para luchar contra los combustible fósiles que amenazan al mundo con catástrofes de gran magnitud.
