As evidenced by the tragedy wrought by Yolanda upon Filipino families and the imminence of rising sea levels that would endanger thousands of our coastal communities, the Philippines is one of the countries most vulnerable to the impacts of the #ClimateCrisis - the biggest existential threat to us humans and millions of other species.
In solidarity with the coming together of the youth in different parts of the globe every Friday to demand for climate action, the Filipino youth will be holding nationally-coordinated activities on September 20 and 27 and we, young Palaweños, heirs of the country’s last ecological frontier, are proud to take part in this historic convergence for our planet’s future.
