Fridays for Future and 350 Kingston are organizing a March for the Climate on Friday Sept 20 at Market Square, 10 am to 2pm.
The event will start at 10 am at Market Square with some chants and speakers such as Dianne Saxe, ex-environmental commissioner of Ontario. Then we go on a funeral march for the Earth - Brock St - Clergy St - Princess St. Marchers are invited to wear black and carry a tombstone sign mourning the death of something that the climate crisis has or will take from them. Then, back in Market Square, there will be more speakers, including Ian Arthur our MPP and a celebration of hope, involving music from local high school bands.
Our house is on fire — let’s act like it. Join millions of us in the streets this September to demand climate justice for everyone in the biggest global climate strike yet.
