JOIN US in proudly celebrating Global Climate Strike week starting Friday, September 20th, by participating in the creation of a powerful public mural for climate action titled "Climate is Life". This project will take place at the heart of Laurier's Waterloo campus, and honors the many protectors of these lands and waters who are right now fighting for a livable planet and safe climate future. In particular, the mural pays tribute to the life-giving gifts of our climate system, and to the stewardship of the Anishnaabe, Haudenosaunee and Neutral Peoples who are on the forefront of protecting our waters and lands today.
Mural creation will be led by community mural artist Pamela Rojas over a period of about 10 days starting September 20th (weather dependent). All are welcome to join! Let us support our youth, children and communities around the world who are right now rising up to demand their right to a livable future. #ClimateIsLife
