As part of the Global Climate Strike, Kunsthall Stavanger presents a performative talk by graphic designer Benedetta Crippa on visual sustainability.
As we collectively recognise the urgency of radically rethinking the ways we relate to the environment and ourselves, we are also called to reflect on how visuality can contribute to harmonious co-existence. How can sustainability unfold through visual work and our visual surroundings? What questions on visuality can we investigate, and act upon? Proposing an expanded view of sustainability, graphic designer Benedetta Crippa guides us through an exploration of form, visions and methods for a plenary beauty – for a visuality that celebrates, and responds to complexity.
Kunsthall Stavanger joins the Globate Climate Strike! We will be closed during the day on September 20, and open at 7 pm for Crippa's talk.
Join us this September, as millions of us walk out of our homes and workplaces to join young people in the streets for the biggest global climate strike yet. Our house is on fire. The climate crisis is an emergency but we’re not acting like it. Invite your colleagues, friends, family, clubs, and community. We need everyone.
