Last year 2018, the president of Kenya, his Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, committed to 100% Renewable Energy by 2020 which is only 4 months away. Even though the country has done well towards realizing this target, there is about 10% left to achieve the 100%RE for Kenya. The young people of this country must therefore rise to the occasion and show support to the Head of State to honour his promise to the Kenyan people, a promise which will also ensure that Kenya surpasses its targets in its Nationally Determined Contributions as communicated to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. and other like-minded organisations/institutions plan to organise a march – THE 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY MARCH to support and remind the government about its own commitment at this opportune time. The march targets at least 1000 participants on the streets of Nairobi City.
