We are marching with the Veterans for Peace in the Veterans Day Parade.
We’re calling on governments to use all financial means possible to reclaim the excessive profits of the fossil fuels industry.
(We are the 16th group in the parade and are being asked to stage @ 8:30am. Parade staging (lineup) will take place on Olive Street between Tucker Boulevard and 18th Street. Participants must enter Olive Street by way of Tucker Boulevard. A parade Marshal will greet participants on Olive Street. The parade is scheduled to start @ 10:30) If you cannot join us at 8:30, don't worry. You can join us at 10:30 or jump in along the parade route - Market & 18th to 14th to Chestnut)
Whether through taxes, by ending subsidies and by stopping all investments in old and new fossil fuel projects, they must use this money to power up the global renewable energy revolution, that is fair and distributes resources equitably around the world.
