A women’s press briefing for climate – spreading awareness of climate change its impacts to homes, health and children. The women will do a press briefing with journalists and make s submission to the Executive Governor of Kaduna state presenting issues that affect them as it relates to climate change and other environmental issues. The women will also advocate for access and availability of energy efficient cook stove at an affordable price or for free. OBJECTIVES • To educate the women and the general public on the impacts of climate change. • To voice out to the government for commitment on environmental protection and women’s protection as their rights. • To engage women and create a platform for them to speak out on climate change impacts as it affects their homes. • To advocate legislation and policies regarding humans’ rights in relation to climate change and other environmental crises. • To advocate for safety of women who are most vulnerable to climate change. • To sensitize the public on the benefits of climate action. • Increase awareness on sustainable lifestyles as means for climate change mitigation.
