Are you ready to step it up for the climate and our Great Barrier Reef by taking part in a peaceful direct action to hold one of Queensland’s worst climate blockers to account?
One week before the election we will call out the politicians working hardest to block action on climate, and hold them to account for the damage they are doing to our communities.
In Brisbane we’ll be putting Peter Dutton MP, one of the fossil fuel industry’s best friends in the spotlight.
Not only does Peter Dutton have an appalling record on refugees, he has betrayed the climate and the Great Barrier Reef by consistently blocking action on global warming. He voted against the carbon price and against greater investment in renewables.
Mr Dutton has been ignoring the climate science and the latest warning signs from the reef which has suffered mass bleaching. So on Friday June 24th we’ll be taking the consequences of his inaction directly to his doorstep -- installing our own bleached coral reef at his office!

Come along to a training and briefing session to get all the information and skills you need to participate in this bold and powerful action. If you have not taken part in peaceful direct action before it is recommended that you attend the training session as well as one of the briefings.

Where: Justice Place Community Centre, 5 Abingdon Street, Woolloongabba
Come along to learn the theory and skills required to participate safely and effectively in the action. Lunch will be provided by donation at 1pm - please stay around for the action briefing at 2pm if you can.
These are repeat sessions so you only need to attend one of them.
