Join activists in Washington, DC, as we gather to send a message to President Obama: This State of the Union, Reject Keystone XL.
What: We will parade the giant pipeline around the capitol grounds, and send a message to President Obama that he has a choice to make: Pipeline President or Climate Champion?
When: Tuesday, January 28th, 11:30am-1pm.
Where: We'll be meeting in front of the Folger Shakespeare Library at 201 East Capitol St. at the corner of 2nd St. SE. Closest Metro stations: Capitol South (Blue/Orange) and Union Station (Red). Please call Rachel at 914-548-8187 if you need directions.
Note: Due to the quick turnaround organizing this action, we have not been able to secure all appropriate permits. We will have appointed police liaisons that will be prepared for every eventuality and we will notify everyone participating if our ability to carry out our event in a lawful manner is limited in any way. Please come on time so you can be briefed by our police liaisons.
