From 13-15 August communities across Australia will take action and put the Commonwealth Bank ‘Under New Management’. Together we’ll call on the bank to rule out financing for the Galilee Basin mega coal mines and the expansion of Abbot Point port.

These creative and fun actions come at a crucial point in the fight to stop Indian company Adani sourcing the funds to back their Galilee Basin mega coal mines.

You can bring the action to your community by signing up to coordinate activities at your local CommBank.

Why ‘Under New Management’?

CommBank's decision makers have time and time again failed to heed the communities call to put an end to their involvement with the Galilee Basin mega coal mines.

So in August we will be taking matters in to our own hands and showing CommBank, at branches around the country, that they CAN rule out Galilee Coal.

Why CommBank?

They have been advising the Qld Government and potential investors on the project and seen as the most likely Australian bank to finance Adani, the Indian company pushing the plans to open up the Galilee Basin and build the Abbot Point port.

In May we rattled CommBank with actions at over 60 branches around the country and the world. From 13-15 August we are going to take things to the next level by ensuring that every CommBank’s executives look they see community groups demonstrating the kind of leadership we expect from Australia’s oldest and largest bank.

Get involved!

Whether it’s a small stunt or a big action you can bring the campaign to your community.

Register your interest today by filling out the form below and we’ll be in touch to share resources and support you to organise an action.
