On this event:
The influence of climate change has already appeared here in Japan. Have you seen it?
Join us to see the new Japanese film Signs from Nature. Then meet our special guest, Mio, a star of the film.
More on Signs from Nature:
"Climate Change"
What image comes to mind when you hear these words? Antarctic ice melting? The place where polar bears can live shrinking? An island disappearing when the sea level rises? After hundreds of years, the average temperature rising destructively high?
Climate change tends to be perceived as a "far" problem on both time and geographical axes. But its influence has already appeared here in Japan. People are thinking about what they can do and are taking actions against this problem. Signs from Nature visits five people in six locations from Hokkaido to Okinawa. We see the impact of the climate change they are facing, the "signs" from Nature they feel, and what we can do as individuals to take action.
