Sunday, September 21, 12:00 PM Spinks Park, Lismore (behind the Transit Centre)Molesworth streetLismore, 2480, Australia
Join us on world climate action day for a fun afternoon of peaceful protest in Lismore. Bring your voices, instruments, whistles, drums, streamers, balloons, bycicles, picnic baskets and your kids and your dog.
Paint your face and placards and together we'll march around the town wearing our rainbow colours and let Tony Abbott know what kind of action we would like our government to take on climate change.
We'll meet in Spinks Park (behind the transit centre) at 12pm for a 12.30pm start to the March. We'll walk en mass around the town and together we'll make a joyous noise raising our voices for change.
We'll return to Spinks Park for speakers, stalls, childrens games, live music, workshops and lots more climate action fun and games.
Please get the word out to your networks and help make the change you would like to create. This event has been organised at short notice and needs people happy to get active and get the poster and the word out.
If you have any creative or organisational skills, we'd love to hear from you. I was just like you on monday looking for an event to go to and there wasn't one so I created one I would love to go to.
Thanks everyone who signed up.
