The March for Survival is a peaceful event of healing and hope on September 21 in the Palouse Clearwater area, to take place along the Pullman-Moscow Chipman Trail. This 8-mile walk will promote climate change awareness and support those directly suffering from the environmental consequences of tar sands oil and other fossil fuel extraction, especially First Nations People. This event invites broad participation from diverse citizens of the Palouse concerned about the impacts of climate change, provides a statement to our local policy-makers, and supports opportunities for education about the tar sands and other fossil fuel industry activities that directly impact the Palouse. Bring your signs and banners, and be prepared for a fun outdoor walk!
The March will be followed by a nonviolent rally, with speakers and opportunity for groups to set up information tables. Share your voice to protect our unique natural resources and our people.
