Launching a ministry for a Just Transition

Join us for a celebratory day of action to launch the Ministry of a Just Transition! Organizers/volunteers will meet early Saturday March 12th at Matt Cohen Park from 11:00 - 11:30am to regroup, and then will march to Chrystia Freeland’s Office at 11:30am. Please bring celebratory signs on the importance of a Just Transition, your fanciest dress (weather appropriate), your mask, and everything needed to launch a new governmental department. Everyone is welcome! We will be hosting speakers, live music and a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of Chrystia Freeland’s office, to celebrate a Just Transition which will promote environmental restoration and new green unionized jobs. While the Deputy Prime Minister has yet to announce the Just Transition Act, promised in 2019, 350 has taken the initiative to kickstart the creation of this new and exciting department to help them along in this urgently needed action.
