Saturday, September 21, 12:00 PM Bronx River Parkway ReservationCome flood the Bronx River Parkway with awareness of climate change, the impact of tar sands and other fossil fuels, and ways ordinary suburbanites like us can make a difference. More details for participants: At noon, we'll gather behind the Scarsdale Train Station on the Depot Place side of the tracks. From there, we'll enter the park together and form a human line along the southbound side of the parkway, just south of the Popham Road bridge, where we'll be visible to people walking and driving by. Since a county ordinance prohibits our holding up banners or signs, we will make ourselves visible by wearing bright red shirts with letters that spell out our message: NO TAR SANDS, NO KEYSTONE XL. We'll also bring information for passersby on the tar sands-climate change connection.Scarsdale, NY 10583You'll be able to see the location and contact the event host after you RSVP.
