World leaders will meet in Paris November 30 – December 11 for the most important climate summit of our time. What’s needed as a result is a binding agreement from governments that’s in line with both science and justice. So far, however, commitments have fallen short. Anticipating this shortfall, thousands of people around the world plan to head back into the streets on Saturday, December 12 to have the final word and demand more progress in 2016. Join 350Madison, other climate action groups and concerned citizens to hear what transpired at the talks, raise your voice, and tell the government to HOLD THE LINE ON FOSSIL FUEL: #KeepItInTheGround! Above all, we intend to remind our leaders, our fellow citizens, and ourselves that WE THE PEOPLE have the power to stop climate change.
Please wear or bring red items to help us draw the #redlines at the Capitol steps.
Governments don’t lead movements – people do. Join us.
