Right now, 9 protesters from the Tar Sands Blockade are sitting in the trees of Winnsboro, East Texas, where they have stopped construction on the Southern leg of Keystone XL for days running.

TransCanada has responded with recklessness and bullying -- encouraging police to pepperspray and tase handcuffed protesters, and felling trees just feet from the treesit.

There is no excuse for endangering the safety of nonviolent protesters. None. Please call TransCanada and tell them to respect the safety of our friends in Texas.

Sample Call Script:

Hello, my name is ____{name}____ and I'm calling today to urge TransCanada to respect the safety of Tar Sands Blockade protestors.

On September 25th, police, with active encouragement of TransCanada employees, used chokeholds, pepper-spray and tasers on two non-violent protestors in Winnsboro, Texas. Since then your employees have violated federal law by operating construction equipment within feet of protesters.

There is no excuse for risking the safety of nonviolent protesters. None. At a minimum, TransCanada should stop construction on the pipeline until you can guarantee the safety of nonviolent protestors.

Thank you for your time.
